Project Estimating

Solomon Stone provides accurate estimations of construction costs by involving the engineering staff on A/E and construction project cost estimates. Budgetary and detailed cost estimates are developed in accordance with client's protocols. Solomon Stone has successfully prepared cost estimates on projects ranging from the thousands to the billions in support of planning, design, construction, renovation, operation and maintenance, as well as change order negotiations and claims support.

Vendor quotes are solicited, where appropriate, local material costs are obtained from suppliers in the vicinity of the project, and labor productivity rates are derived from project experience and history, U.S. Cost Success and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Micro Computer-Aided Cost Engineering System databases.

Troubled Project Turn Around

While project management is used most cost-effectively before construction begins, it is also used to regain control after serious problems have caused delays or overruns. Solomon Stone's turnaround team designs new schedules, creates new plans and implements procedures to get the project back on track.
